Barry Keown
Age: 54
Hometown: Sundridge, ON

Bio Fact: After thirty years of living in the Huntsville area, Barry is no stranger to this land. He became enthralled with the cowboy lifestyle watching westerns as a kid – John Wayne became his idol and he is thrilled to be Mantracker’s sidekick during the 100th anniversary of John Wayne’s birth.  Barry shoes horses for a living when he’s not honing his tracking skills hunting or rodeo roping.

Mark Fletcher
Age: 49
Hometown: Hazelton, BC

Bio Fact: Mark has been in the bush all his life. He’s parachuted into forest fires in very remote areas and been a guide outfitter locally, so he knows the back country like the back … well, you get it. He’s also known as something of a ‘horse whisperer’ helping to re-habilitate horses with physical and psychological challenges at his Bulkley Canyon Ranch.

Michael Burgess
Age: 51
Hometown: Big Beaver, SK

Bio Fact: Michael Burgess is the owner of Circle Y Ranch and a locally renowned cowboy-poet, author of Big Muddy Country. With a ranch that has been in the family since the 1930s, Michael is a true-blooded cowboy.

Louis Burke
Age: 57
Hometown: Petit d’Etang, NS

Bio Fact: The second of fourteen kids, Louis is a born and bred Cape Bretoner.  He’s an avid hunter, making treks as far afield as Newfoundland. He’s been saddling up for over 15 years and, with his wife, runs Petit d’Etang Stables near Cheticamp.

Phil Lemieux
Age: 43
Hometown: Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario

Bio Fact: Phil’s made horses his life since he got his first pony when he was 10 years old. He’s competed in barrel racing, rodeo, roping and trail riding. He’s explored hundreds of kilometres of Algoma country on horseback and that makes him Mantracker’s secret weapon. With moose hunting and ice fishing as two of his passions, he’s certainly got a hearty appetite for the hunt - and may even beat “Mantracker” to the prey.

Jake Giguere
Age: 25
Hometown: Hazelton, BC

Bio Fact: Jake grew up in Hazelton and has been an outfitter and guide for the past 7 years. He’s used to glassing and cutting the track, and predicting where the animals are likely to be. Jake’s got a nose for flushing out wildlife and is banking on his experience and native instincts to do the same with Mantracker’s prey.

Lane Burgess
Age: 21
Hometown: Big Beaver, SK

Bio Fact: Lane grew up on the Circle Y Ranch and has been riding the hills and coulees his whole life. For the past 4 years, he’s been driving wagons, keeping the old frontier spirit alive. He brings his excellent horsemanship, keen eye, and innate knowledge of the land to guide Mantracker through the Badlands.

Daniel Locas
Age: 52
Hometown:

Bio Fact: Daniel returned to the Laurentians and Le Ranch Mont-Tremblant over 10 years ago because of his love of horses. He has developed many of the trails used by hikers and riders in the area and spent time trying to teach ‘dudes’ the finer points of cattle driving.
